Candice was admitted to practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2012. Candice holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business (Management). Candice is a Family Law Specialist accredited by the Law Society of NSW.
Prior to joining Pearson Emerson, Candice worked at a boutique law firm in various areas of law, including family law, commercial law and civil litigation. Candice's notable experience includes involvement in the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption, representative actions involving over 300 litigants, and appeals to the High Court of Australia, being the highest appellate Court in Australia.
Candice developed a passion for family law from the time she started work as a paralegal in 2010 when she was completing her legal studies. Since that time, Candice has been involved in complex family law matters, including contested child relocation cases, property settlement matters involving complex asset pools, and appeals. Candice regularly appears on behalf of her clients in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia.
Candice's broad range of experience has enabled her to provide informed and practical advice in family law cases. Candice's empathetic approach assists clients to find their way through the breakdown of their marriages and de facto relationships, to secure the best possible outcome for them and for their children. Candice resolves disputes collaboratively where possible, but is a fierce advocate for her clients' rights in the circumstances where the intervention of the Court is required.
