Thomas has been working in family law since 2016 and since that time has established a practice across both complex financial disputes and parenting matters.
Committed to keeping clients out of the courtroom wherever possible, Thomas believes litigation should always be a last resort. He takes a practical, grounded approach by providing his clients realistic advice so they can move forward with confidence.
As a strong advocate for mediation and other alternatives to court, Thomas helps clients achieve results without the stress and expense of contested litigation whenever possible. When litigation is unavoidable, Thomas is a confident and capable advocate. He regularly represents clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, bringing his measured and thorough approach to the courtroom.
Thomas recognises that no two families are the same. His priority is always to reduce conflict, protect his clients' wellbeing and resolve matters as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. Known for his attention to detail and his ability to work swiftly without cutting corners, Thomas appreciates that his clients are going through one of the most difficult periods of their life.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Laws from Western Sydney University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. He is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is listed on the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia.
Thomas is a member of the Law Society of NSW and the Family Law Section.
